Our Started Puppies in our training program are trained to qualify for their Canine Good Citizen Certificate at the end of our program.
The Canine Good Citizen Program lays the foundation for other fun AKC activities such as AKC Rally, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, and a new addition- the AKC Therapy Dog title.

The cost of our program is $450 per week in addition to the purchase price of the puppy. This includes all food, applicable vaccines and weekly optional owner training sessions.
We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks training to ensure your puppy’s best start!

Crate training
- Sleeps all night in the crate.
Introduce walking calmly on a leash
- Heel on the leash without pulling, following the handler when turning left and right.
- Sit automatically when the handler stops walking.
- Walks politely without jumping up on people or sniffing excessively.
Discourage Jumping
- Allows a stranger to pet while the puppy stays in a sitting position.
- The puppy will not get up, jump, or bark when a stranger approaches or is petted.
Exposed to Walking up & downstairs
Nipping & mouthing corrections
Exposed to "Quiet"
- Stop excessive barking.
Encourage outdoor potty
Sit, Stay & Come
- Sit

- Come directly to the front & center of the handler when called.
Introduced to Wait
- Wait at gates and doorways
- Wait for food dishes to be placed on the floor
Bait training
- Rewards puppy for learning a new command.
- Teaches a soft mouth.
- After the command is successfully learned, the reward is transitioned to petting and "good dog".
Socialized with other dogs & lots of people
- Socializes with all dogs here including adult dogs.
- Learning dog pack manners.
Please remember that these are Started Puppies that have been introduced to these training points, they will need to continue in training when they go into their new family home to establish good habits that will carry on into adulthood. As with children, they will test you to see if you know what they can do.
These puppies have learned to learn and are eager to please you. Enjoy them as much as we have!
