Occasionally, we have adult Labrador Retrievers available for adoption to carefully selected homes. These exceptional dogs may be retiring from our breeding program after years of producing beautiful, healthy puppies, or they may be returning from our Guardian Home Program. Each of these mature Labs has been an integral part of our Bella Frieda Farm family and deserves nothing less than a loving forever home where they can enjoy their retirement years.

They understand basic commands and often exceed Canine Good Citizen standards thanks to our positive reinforcement training methods. Adult Labradors skip the challenging puppy phase entirely. There’s no chewing furniture, no middle-of-the-night potty breaks, and no months of intensive training. Instead, you get a calm, confident, well-mannered companion who’s ready to seamlessly integrate into your family from day one. They still have plenty of energy for adventures and play but with the maturity and manners that come with age and training.

What Makes Our Adults Special

Every adult dog we place has been family-raised in our home with love and affection. They have Champion Bloodlines and come from parents with all recommended OFA clearances including hips, elbows, heart, and eyes. They’ve undergone comprehensive Embark genetic testing to ensure they’re free from genetic health issues.

These dogs have been cherished members of our family, sleeping in our home, receiving daily cuddles, and experiencing the early neurological stimulation that makes them confident, trusting, and loving throughout their entire lives. The exceptional care they’ve received from birth through adulthood is reflected in their wonderful temperaments and joyful spirits.

Investment & Application Process

The adoption fee for our adult dogs is generally equivalent to the original puppy cost, but now you’re receiving a fully trained, mature dog with years of love to give. This represents exceptional value considering the extensive training, health testing, and quality care these dogs have received throughout their lives.
